Classroom And Office Environment Safety

Schools across Ireland are due to reopen soon. The Department of Education has been working tirelessly, together with school principals, to ensure that there is a safety plan in place to protect students, teachers and school staff.

With classroom and office environment safety in mind, and due to the high demand for cleaning solutions, Highline Office Technology now provides an antimicrobial surface protection service for printers, office equipment, classroom and office environment.

If surfaces are not being cleaned or sanitised correctly due to poor technique, wipes that have dried out, or improper use of sanitiser, our antimicrobial surface protection can be in place as a backup. The Government recommendation for daily cleaning can then be routinely enforced with a cloth method, with no need to continue with the over use of other anti-bacterial/antimicrobial cleaners – thus reducing the school’s biocide footprint.

Your machines are key to the running of your school, and with multiple hands on the touch screen and other parts, it is important that an antimicrobial coat is in place, in order to avoid the spread of germs and viruses around. This also applies to all classroom and office equipment, including tables and chairs.

Our efficient 3 step cleaning and sanitisation process does not damage furniture surfaces, nor any of the mechanics of your machines, including sensitive touchscreens:

Step 1

We clean the furniture surface to be applied. For machines, we clean them inside and out.

Step 2

A primer is applied.

Step 3

We coat the surface in a film of antimicrobial sanitiser that stops germs, viruses, fungi and protozoa being spread around, and issue a sanitisation certificate for your school’s hygiene wall.

How Does It Work?

We ask the school to clear the classrooms and the areas to be sanitised in advance, including tables and office equipment. Please allow 45 minutes per device, adding some extra time for other areas to be sanitised, if required. All appropriate clothing and masks will be worn by our team in accordance to sanitary guidelines. The sanitiser we use is not harmful to humans, animals nor the environment, and the life of the coating lasts up to 12 months, depending on the environment. For schools, we recommend it to be done every 6 months.

Once the cleaning is done, our team will set up a reminder to contact you for your next sanitisation service. Please be mindful that the use of generic sanitisers on touch screen devices and on other classroom/office equipment can damage your devices and invalidate the warranty on them.
